What is meditation
Meditation is a way of relaxing, a way of switching off everyday stresses and strains and a way of accessing your own inner wisdom.
This is achieved by focusing the mind on a point of concentration, eg the breath, an object or a word. When in this meditative state, you enter a place in which you are totally centred and mind, body and spirit are brought into harmony. It is not simply a case of emptying your mind and going off into a trance.
Meditation can have many physical benefits. As the mind and body become more relaxed it may help in lowering blood pressure, alleviating pain and reducing muscle tension. Ailments such as migraine, anxiety attacks, sinus problems and asthma may be helped by regular deep-breathing exercises which improve circulation of air through constricted passages.
For those who are fit and healthy, meditation practised regularly develops self discipline and therefore may impact on personal performance in sports, in business etc. It may assist in building self confidence and increase energy levels and efficiency. In short meditation can help to create a more positive approach to life in general.
Beginners Meditation Class (1 hour for 6 Weeks)
Simple, straigthforward introduction to meditation in small friendly classes. Learn simple techniques to help you relax, feel calmer and decrease tension in mind and body. Meditation has been known to be useful in aiding sleep.

Chakra Meditation Course (1 hour for 8 weeks)
This course is aimed more at those with some experience of meditating.
Chakras are energy centres, drawing in energy from the universe sending it into the body through the meridians and out into the subtle bodies. When there is a blockage or energy disturbance in the chakras this can lead to physical illness or emotional problems.
The aim of this course is demonstrate
This course offers ways to fine tune the chakras and work towards a more balanced and fulfulling life.
